What is a customer record?​

A customer record tracks who you're producing for as a structured record — name, contact email and phone, address, and optional notes — instead of a name typed into an order's free-text notes every time.

Attaching a customer to an order​

Link a customer directly on the order form. Once linked:

  • The customer's name and address prefill the consignee fields when you generate a bill of lading for that order — you can still edit them for a one-off shipment.
  • The customer's name is available to filter by on the dashboard's Demand List.

Managing customers​

Go to Customers in the sidebar to see every customer record. Click Add customer to create one, or click an existing customer to edit its details. Deleting a customer does not delete or unlink past orders — it only removes the record from the list.
