What Inventory tracks​

Inventory tracks stock units on hand per SKU (and, when a SKU has variable options like color, per option combination). If a SKU has a feet-per-reel value set, Inventory also shows the approximate quantity on hand in the SKU's own unit, alongside the raw stock unit count.

Creating or editing an order nets its quantity against this stock immediately — allocating what it can from on hand and leaving only the remainder for the schedule modal to plan production for. See how scheduling uses that remainder.

Adjusting stock​

Click Edit on a SKU's row to open the adjustment dialog, then choose an action:

  • Receive stock — add units, e.g. from an incoming shipment.
  • Consume stock — subtract units by hand, for a use outside the normal production flow.
  • Manual correction — set the stock units on hand to an exact number, for reconciling a physical count.

Every adjustment accepts an optional note (a receiving slip number, a cycle-count reference) and is recorded — SKU, change type, before/after quantity, and who made it — in that SKU's adjustment history, visible right in the same dialog.

Low stock​

A SKU showing fewer than 6 stock units on hand is flagged Low in the Inventory table, so a shortfall is visible before it becomes a scheduling problem.

Exporting inventory​

Export the current inventory table to a spreadsheet directly from the Inventory page.
