AI Order Entry
What it does
Paste raw text — a customer email, a PO, a forwarded message, a verbal note someone typed up — and RunMark's AI extracts structured orders from it. You review the parsed results, edit anything that needs fixing, and confirm. Nothing is created without your approval.
How to use it
- Go to Orders → Import from text
- Paste your raw text (up to 2,000 characters)
- Click Parse with AI — parsing takes 2–5 seconds
- Review the parsed orders — check the confidence score, verify SKU matches, confirm due dates look right
- Edit any fields that need correction
- Uncheck any orders you don't want to create
- Click Confirm & create orders
Confidence scores
Each parsed order includes a confidence score:
| Color | Score | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 🟢 Green | 85%+ | High confidence — likely correct, spot-check |
| 🟡 Yellow | 60–84% | Review suggested — verify SKU match and date |
| 🔴 Red | Below 60% | Low confidence — verify everything manually |
What happens if a SKU isn't matched
If the AI can't match a product mention to an existing SKU in your product list, the SKU field will be empty and shown in red. You must select the correct SKU from the dropdown before confirming.
The AI can only match products that already exist in your RunMark SKU list. If a product isn't in your list, add it as a SKU first, then re-parse the text.
Example texts that work well
Customer email:
"Hi, can you run 3,000 feet of 2-inch SDR-11 by next Friday? Also need 1,500 feet of 4-inch DR-18 by end of month."
PO-style text:
"PO #4821 — HDPE 2" SDR-11: 5,000 LF due 4/15. HDPE 4" SDR-17: 2,500 LF due 4/22."
Verbal note:
"Customer called, needs one reel of 2-inch SDR-11, about 1,000 feet, they need it by the 10th."
Limitations
The AI works best with clear quantities, product descriptions that match your SKU names, and explicit due dates. Ambiguous quantities ("a few reels") or missing dates will result in low confidence scores or empty fields that you'll need to fill in manually.
