Production Assistant
What is the Production Assistant?
The Production Assistant is a persistent chat widget in the bottom-right of your dashboard. It answers two types of questions:
- Production data questions — questions about your actual orders, lines, schedule, and utilization. It uses your live Firestore data to give specific answers.
- How-to questions — questions about how to use RunMark: "How do I generate a label?", "What's the changeover matrix?", "How does AI order entry work?"
How to use it
Click the sparkle icon (✨) in the bottom-right corner of any dashboard page. Type your question in plain English and press Enter. The assistant responds within a few seconds.
After each response, follow-up question chips appear to help you dig deeper.
What it can answer — production data

What it can answer — how-to questions
The assistant also knows this entire help center and can answer questions about how to use RunMark:
- "How do I add a new line?"
- "What does the changeover matrix do?"
- "How do I export my label audit?"
- "What's the difference between pending and scheduled?"
Starting a new conversation
Click the refresh icon in the chat header to clear the session and start fresh. The assistant doesn't remember previous sessions — each refresh starts clean.
Tips for better answers
- Be specific about lines: "Line 2" rather than "my second line"
- Include a time frame: "this week", "in the last 30 days", "this month"
- If the answer seems off, ask it to explain its reasoning: "How did you calculate that?"
- For how-to questions, phrase them as questions: "How do I..." or "What is..."
